Georgia's Wake Up Call with Scott Keith and Jen Steele on Big 98

Big Weekend

FUN IN THE WATER

There is nothing like playing in the water on the weekends, whether it's ocean water, lake water, river water or tap water...water can be FUN!

Shark Fun
The Great White Shark is now protected in South Africa, California, South Australia and Tasmania, and although this is only one of almost 400 species of shark, its protection is a step in the right direction. The Great White is the most storied, but the most dangerous might be the TIGER Shark.  Several species of Shark live off the coast of Tybee Island, however, it is uncommon for them to come close to shore...mostly you just get the Dolphins....so go take a Dolphin Tour and be happy!  Jon Robbins loves the water...the jury is out on Jen Steele, Scott Keith and Charlie Bryan.

The University of Georgia Aquarium on Skidaway Island

The University of Georgia Aquarium on Skidaway Island is part of the Skidaway Marine Science Center on McWhorter Drive. Its 14 exhibit tanks hold 200 live animals that represent about 50 species of fish, turtles and invertebrates found along the Georgia coast.  The aquarium is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is $4 for ages 13 to adult; $2 for seniors, military and ages 3 through 12. Children younger than 3 are free. Call 912-598-3474 for more information or click here
