Pedal 4 Kids, the Lowcountry’s largest bicyclist event, is currently registering individuals and teams for the 4th annual event to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island. The event is on Saturday, September 25th and includes four different routes throughout Hilton Head’s parks and pathways for bicyclists of all ages and skill levels. The Annual “Rock of the Marne Triathlon” is coming up on Sunday September 19th at Hunter Army Airfield. Proceeds benefit the Hunter Spouses Club, which distributes funds to needy families of enlisted soldiers. It’s a 500-yard swim, 13-mile bike and 5K run on the site of the first triathlon ever on the US Mainland. To register go to www.savtri.com.

The Geechee Sailing Club’s annual Oktoberfest Regatta is coming up on October 2nd and 3rd. The races will be held in the Wilmington River, Wassaw Sound, and the Ocean. LIFE – Living Independence for Everyone - joins with Armstrong Atlantic State University, MSL, and Chatham Area Transit for their Annual Wheelchair and Scooter Cleaning & Health Fair on Saturday, September 18th. HEROES ON HORSEBACK is a therapeutic riding program providing equine assisted activities for individuals in the Lowcountry with physical, mental or emotional disabilities. FALL session is starting soon and volunteers are needed more than ever before to assist these special children. Volunteer orientation will be 10:00 A.M. on September 11th.
