My name is Jon Robbins and am a night owl.  I was a Marine Corps brat born in Gulfport, Mississippi.  Hop scotched around the country as a kid living in places like Pearl Harbor Hawaii, San Clemente California, and other geographic points known only to Marines.  I finally stopped moving long enough to graduate from Huntington Beach High School way back when and found myself in Europe wearing olive drab and shooting down make believe jet planes while stationed with the Army's Air Defense Artillery (1st Armored Division)...during my off hours I spent all of my hard earned money on stereo equipment and listened to music...Sly & The Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, The Stones and The Supremes were some of my favorites...I would entertain the entire barracks and most of NATO with my song selections cranked to 11 on a volume control that only went to 10.  I accidentally fell into Radio when I was taking a Recording Class in College...some guy came by and invited us students to visit the radio station, so I went and was amazed that these guys actually got paid to play music and have fun on the radio...I begged them to hire me and I believe the starting pay was 2.50 an hour...I never looked back and have been blessed to have a job that's all about the music and connecting with people who love music as much as I do.  Savannah is a wonderful place to work and live...it don't get any better than this!  I am living the BIG dream with my wife and family and still loving every minute of it.
